One of the surefire signs that fall in New England is on the way is the appearance of Shipyard Pumpkinhead.

Since 1995, beer lovers have been guzzling gallons of the pumpkin and spice flavored wheat ale.

According to the Shipyard website, the "proper" way to enjoy a Pumpkinhead is in a pint glass with the rim coated in a mix of cinnamon and sugar.  While many bars are ready set up glass after glass, who wants to deal this at home?

Shipyard has the solution!  A pre-made mix of sugar and spices in a tin that is right size to dip your favorite pint glass in.

You can find these at many places where they sell Shipyard.  Like The Damon's Family of Stores, for instance.

In addition to being great for drinking, you can use Pumpkinhead in a bunch of fall favorite recipes.  On the Shipyard Brewing Co website they have recipes for Pumpkinhead Pancakes, Pumpkinhead Whoopie Pies, Pumpkinhead Pumpkin Pie (seems like a no-brainer), and Pumpkinhead Orange Cranberry Sauce.
