Major league baseball player and a pitcher for the Boston RedSox Chris Sale is making his way back to the mound at Fenway with a few stops along the way.

According to News Center, Maine, Boston Red Sox star Chis Sale will be rehab pitching for the Portland Sea Dogs game on Tuesday, July 20th. Sale has been recovering from Ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction, also known as Tommy John surgery (TJS) he had back in March of 2020.

After his Tommy John Surgery, Sale ended up playing a rehab game for the Sea Dogs in early June and has since spent time in Florida rehabbing his arm while playing at Jet Blue Park in Florida.

Tuesday's game is expected to be a busy night at Hadlock Field, and staff anticipates tickets will sell out. Gates will open early at 4:30 p.m., 90 minutes ahead of game time. At this time it is unsure how many games Sale will pitch for the Portland Sea Dogs, but he and the Red Sox are hoping to have him back asap.

Tickets for Tuesday's game are on sale now!
