According to the Lewiston Sun Journal, the latest Farmers' Almanac, which will be out tomorrow (August 26th), predicts a "polar coaster".

And no, it's not going to be as fun as the Polar Coaster at Storyland.

Almanac editor Peter Geiger says we'll see colder-than-normal temperatures in New England and have a lot of precipitation.  This means we'll be pounded by snow inland, but see a real mess (sleet, slush, freezing rain, etc) on the coast.

On top of that, he predicts we'll see a lengthy cold-snap (like temps of negative 40) at the end of January and into February.

All this is nothing we can't handle, as long as we don't get another Spring like the one we had this year.  But, can we really call that Spring?  It was almost like we went from Winter directly into Summer.  Right?
