Tom Brady played the first half of the Patriots final preseason game against the New York Giants and now he will face his four-game suspension. The suspension doesn’t help the Patriots but it does help his alma mater Michigan.

When the Michigan Wolverines play at home on September 17th against Colorado, Brady will be on hand as an honorary captain. Normally during the NFL season, it's hard for Tom to attend a Michigan game, but with the suspension he’ll have time.

Brady's Michigan career spanned 1995-99. His second year as a starter (1999) was the most successful, leading Michigan to an overtime win over Alabama in the Orange Bowl. Brady will not be the only captain, Michael Jordan, Rick Eisen from the NFL Network and Hank Aaron will be at various games.
