Money, it sure seems like it's been tougher and tougher to hang onto it lately. Some great news though for the University of Maine at Augusta. The school just received an anonymous donation of one million dollars.

A university spokeswoman says the donor lives in Maine but is not an alumnus.

UMA launched it's 50th Anniversary Fund campaign this past spring to coincide with the school's 50th anniversary this year.

The donation will be used for student scholarships, supporting enrolled veterans, strengthening the school's online and distance education offerings, and renovating Jewett Hall Auditorium.
