Three people were injured in a Thursday morning crash in Vassalboro.

According to the KJ, at about 11 AM, the Vassalboro Fire Department responded to an accident in the area of 1185 Riverside Drive (near Hunt Road and Cushnoc Road).

According to Fire Chief Walker Thompson, it appeared the man driving the southbound vehicle crossed the center line and struck an oncoming vehicle.  That vehicle was  driven by a pregnant woman whose daughter was also in the vehicle.

It does not appear any of those involved have life threatening injuries.

As a main commuter road into Augusta, it should not be a big surprise there are a significant number of vehicle crashes on that section of road.  If you are traveling Route 201, please follow the speed limit and use caution.
