Vehicle Crashes Through Maine Savings Amphitheater Fence
One of Maine's most well-known concert venues was the scene of a motor vehicle crash on Labor Day.
According to WABI, a sport utility vehicle was driving along Main Street in Bangor on Monday afternoon when it left the road hitting a light pole and a small tree before crashing into the fence of the Maine Savings Amphitheater.
One person was taken away from the scene in an ambulance, but it is not known how seriously they were injured.

WABI was able to get the following quote from Waterfront Concerts' Alex Gray:
I got a text message from a city councilor with a picture of the car basically through the fence. Fortunately, during the design of the venue we left the sheets up six feet high all the way down Main Street effectively to protect against a 24,000-pound truck from ever entering the venue and they did their job
According to the article, the crash will not affect upcoming concerts.
Upcoming concerts for the 2024 season include Jordan Davis & Mitchell Tenpenny on September 7th, Cody Jinks on September 12th, Pitbull on September 14th, and the season will close out with Post Malone's F-1 Trillion tour on September 16th.
So far, in 2024, the concert venue has hosted Parker McCollum, Dan + Shay, Kidz Bop Live, Kenny Chesney, Luke Comes, and Walker Hayes.
Learn more about the venue and check out a list of upcoming concerts on the Waterfront Concerts website.
