On July 10th the City of Augusta Police Honor Guard will have the distinct honor of presenting the colors at the start of the Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees home game at Fenway Park in Boston. The Game starts at 7:10 PM.  Of course, it's difficult to make it to such a popular game, but the APD Honor Guard will be practicing before their big performance and you can watch them, right here at home.

The APD Honor Guard will host a practice session open to the media on July 9th at 4:30 PM at the CARA baseball fields on the Piggery Road in Augusta.  The guard have been under the command of Sergeant Christian J. Behr and have been practicing for this event for the past two years and got the “call up” on June 27th from the Red Sox to present the colors during the National Anthem at the start of the game.

If you have time on Thursday, make sure you make it their practice session and wish them luck as they go represent Augusta and all of Central Maine!
