Study Predicts Human-Robot Sex Will Overtake Human-Human Sex by 2050
I will start this story by saying this prediction comes from Great Britain and it is of an adult nature. I say that because I have noticed some of these studies that come from that country are a little, shall we say, weird. This one defiantly fits that category.
Futurologist Dr. Ian Pearson predicts by the year 2050, sex between humans and robots will be more common than sex between humans and humans. Of note here is the fact that this study was done in partnership with one of Britain’s leading sex toy shops, Bondara.
Dr. Ian says by 2025 we will start to see some forms of robot sex in higher-income very wealthy households and it will overtake human-human sex by 2050. Leisure spending could grow by a factor of five, and the sex market in 20 years could be three times bigger than today and seven times bigger by 2050.
Whether society will let this happen is yet be seen, but it sounds so informal and weird, and begs the question, why would you want to?
