I love Throwback Thursday! Last Thursday, I posted about back to school shopping at stores that are no longer around. Wow, did you add a lot of stores to that list. This time around, I am doing a post on games that I used to love when I was a kid.

National Geographic recently named their top ten best summit hikes in the world and Maine's Mount Katahdin made the list!

I came across an interesting article from roadsnacks.net, called the ten worst places to live in Maine. It caught my eye and before I give you the list, here's how they came up with their list. The criteria used was: population density, highest unemployment rates, adjusted median income, high housing vacancy rates, education and high crime. Here are the ten worst from ten to one.

Money Rates.com just released their analysis of the best states to make a living for 2015. The rankings were based on average wages, state tax rates, cost of living and the unemployment rate. The rankings also factored workplace safety and that was a big factor with where Maine finished on the list.

Livability.com has just released its inaugural 'Top 100 Best Small Towns' list. The list was exclusive to towns of population between 1,000 and 20,000. Forty data points were grouped into eight categories to form the Top 100, including demographics, real estate, health care and social and civic capital.

The second annual coziest city list from Honeywell Heaters named Portland, Maine the nation's coziest city!  The list is identified by scientists at environmental consulting company Environmental Health & Engineering.

Fortune magazine's 'Top 100 Best Companies To Work For' has a legendary Maine company in their top100. L.L.Bean of Freeport came in at number 56 on their list. Here's what they have to say.
