According to WGME, the cases of Mainers sickened by consuming raw milk products at a Maine farm are stemming from Roux's Farm LLC in Shapleigh, Maine. The Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, as well as officials with the Maine Center for Disease Control. say that the four people are all from York County and have contracted cryptosporidiosis sometime before October 4th.

Roux's Farm LLC is in fact a Maine licensed farm and is regularly inspected by state officials. Maine CDC  says that you should discard any Roux Farm LLC products that you may have that are dated prior to October 18th. Any products you may have that are dated after October 18th have already gone through testing.

Cryptosporidiosis, according to MedlinePlus.Gov is described as,  an illness caused by a parasite. The parasite lives in soil, food, and water. It may also be on surfaces that have been contaminated with feces (poop). You can become infected by swallowing the parasite, if it is in your food, drinking water, or water that you swim in. You can also get it by touching your mouth with contaminated hands.

Other symptoms include dehydration, weight loss, fever, vomiting and cramps. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms and have been recently exposed to dairy products from Roux's Farm LLC dated prior to October, 18th, contact your primary care physician immediately.
