The Guide to 4th of July Parades in Maine

Even though the Independence Day holiday is always a big deal here in Maine, because we are celebrating the 250th birthday of our great nation, there is a good chance that many communities will go all out when it comes to this year's celebrations.

This applies to festivals, live music, fireworks, and, of course, parades!

Parades, especially the Independence Day parades, are some of the best ways that a community shows off its talents and creativity.  In a typical Fourth of July parade you'll see (and hear) bands, dancers, local businesses, veterans groups, churches, community organizations, and first responders vehicles.

These parades really do give you a chance to see the best of what a community has to offer.
