Andy Capwell Celebrates His 14th Annivesary With B-98.5

Saturday, August 23, 2014 marked by 14th anniversary here at B98.5. If I stop and think about that, it's almost a third of my life! Looking back some things are very different and much is the same.

The biggest things that are different is that the studio is in another room from when I first started. The station website, posting stories and the interactive part of the radio station is exciting and new.

Some of the things that remain the same are a lot of the people that work here. Randy McCoy, Mike Poulin, staff members from our

sister station, sales staff and the big boss Al Perry are all still here. I know it can be cliche, but these people are like family.

They have been there through the loss of my father and sister and have given me support through some tough personal times.

This job is some wicked awesome.

I've gotten to meet so many country stars, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Brooks & Dunn, Aaron Tippin, Tracy Byrd, Blake Shelton, Blackhawk, Suzy Bogguss and so many more!

I also want to thank the listeners who ask me all the time about how the gym is going, the horseshoe league, you truly have also become like family to me.

So, I decided that I'd throw myself a little 14th anniversary party!
