Augusta Police Take On Augusta Fire In Taco Challenge To Raise Money
It's the Battle of the Badges as the Augusta Police Department, the reigning champions, takes on the Augusta Fire Department in their 3rd annual taco eating contest. This all to raise money for either the Special Olympics Maine (chosen by the APD) or Autism Society of Maine (chosen by the AFD) . Come out and support the cause.
It will be,TONIGHT, 'National Taco Day', October 3rd at Margaritas Mexican Restaurant from 7pm - 8pm.
Each taco, respectively titled Taco Gigante, is a belly bustin 2 POUNDS of Mexican delish consisting of: A crispty foot-long shell filled with two pounds of fixings including lettuce, refried beans, rice ground beef, chicken, carnitas, cheese, salsa fresca, bacon, queso, hacienda sauce, picante sauce, crema and pickled jalapenos.
