We have all been there, driving along a rural Maine road and really having to stop for a bathroom break. The only problem is there is not a bathroom for miles. This was the case for Mark Leighton of Oakland.Mark did what many of us red-blooded males have done, pulled the car over and find an isolated spot and well you know the rest. After Mark did his business, he found his car in Salmon Lake in Belgrade!

Chief Deputy Everett Flannery of the Kennebec County Sheriff's Office told the Morning Sentinel that Leighton was going to the bathroom when he heard a splash, turned around, and saw the car in the lake. It appears Leighton pulled the emergency brake but forgot to put the car in park.

The car was towed from the lake.

No one was injured and no charges were filed.
