Central Maine Woman Dead Following Thursday Crash
It appears that an Augusta woman is dead following a Thursday morning crash.
According to an article in the KJ, 35 year old Katherine Spiller was westbound on Route 202 in Winthrop on Thursday morning. Just after 9 AM, she crossed the center line and had a head-on collision with a farm truck.
Spiller died at the scene. The driver of the truck was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
That section of the road remained closed throughout most of the day as the Maine State Police reconstructed the crash. Law enforcement detoured traffic around the site of the crash. Vehicles were reportedly sent down Old Lewiston Road.
Our thoughts go out to all those involved in this tragic situation.
