Augusta's Colonial Theater is looking good!  You need to check out this interactive tour of the Colonial Theater.  It is very cool because you can move around the theater…see how things are looking and there are few extra tidbits of information about the Colonial Theater and its rich history.

The building looks AMAZING on the outside with the bricks painted to give a fresh yet historic look.

There have been plans for years to restore the theater to its glory and use the venue to attract live music, theater, and a place to screen movies.

The Colonial Theater opened in 1913 and in the ’70s was bought and used a storage spot for an individual. Then in 1995 the nonprofit The Colonial Theater Inc. bought the building and has been working to stop its decay and restore the facility with a long list of steps.

From when I first saw it inside, with a HUGE hold in the floor and light you could see coming in through the bricks in the wall it looks amazing.  There is still work to be done but really check out this cool Matterport 3-D video of where The Colonial Theater is at right now.

Looking good!
