Country News: Rascal Flatts Opening an L.A. Restaurant

Rascal Flatts will open a restaurant and bar in Los Angeles later this year. Eater Los Angeles says construction is already underway and will be located on the third floor of a building on a busy corner in L.A. The restaurant and bar will serve ‘down home eats,’ beer, cocktails and good music. Rascal Flatts had announced in 2012 they would open another location in Arizona but that has not opened yet.

Sam Hunt doesn’t have a release date for his sophomore album yet but you can expect the release of some singles from the project. ‘Body Like a Back Road’ is his newest single and according to theboot.com Hunt doesn’t want that single to be the only one heard before the album is finished so he’ll try to put them out as he finishes them.

During the Music Business Association’s annual conference, Reba McEntire and Maren Morris will receive Music Biz Awards. Reba will be recognized for her long and successful music career with the 2017 Chairman’s Award. McEntire will be the first female country artist to receive the award since 1964. Maren Morris will be one of two artists receiving the Music Business Association’s Breakthrough Artist Award (the other is going to Danish pop band Lukas Graham). The event will take place in Nashville on May 18^th.
