Day Trip: Have You Seen Maine’s Best Sand Dollar Beach?

It's on my summer bucket list!  See more Maine beaches!  Aside from seashells and sea glass, my kids love searching for sand dollars on the beach.  The sense of pride they have when they find one is always fun to watch.  For me, it's not easy finding them.  But, I'm going to have to check out this beach.  Maybe my luck will improve.

According to onlyinyourstate.com, Long Sands Beach in York is the BEST place to find sand dollars.  Of course, you need to know how to hunt for them.  Sand dollars, generally, wash ashore after they die.  They are found easiest after a storm, during low tide.  So, keep that in mind.

Long Sands Beach is on my list to go visit this summer.
