If you noticed something different at the Fieldstone Quickstop on route 3, in South China, you are not seeing things or going crazy.

According to a news release by the Penobscot Bay Chamber Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Fieldstone Quickstop is now owned by the Maritime Energy Family of stores which go by the name Maritime Farms.

The addition of the South China store will mark the 13th location for the locally owned energy company. Due to the fact that Maritime Farm store locations have their own "lighthouse Deli", the Subway that use to be a part of the store will be replaced with their in-house brand. The Lighthouse Deli offers quick grab and go items for breakfast and lunch, finger sandwiches and subs, pizza by the slice, chicken fingers and a variety of other items. You can see the Full menu of items they offer by clicking here. The news report did indicate that the Dunkin that is on site will remain in place, as will the Sunoco brand of gasoline.

Maritime Energy has experienced steady growth over the past few years expanding into Kennebec county. Maritime Energy currently has store locations in Knox, Hancock, Waldo and Lincoln counties, with thier headquarters based in Rockland.

Maritime Energy is also currently seeking job applicants for a variety of open positions. Click Here to view the current openings available.
