For the First Time in 32 Years Butterball Hiring Men

This year, for the first time in 32 years, when you call the Butterball Turkey Hotline, you may get a male to talk turkey with. The hotline has never hired a male for last minute advice on how to prepare a turkey, but this year they have hired a man.
Times are changing in other ways this year, too. Butterball is actively seeking a male to be their spokesperson. The man they are seeking must be 25 or older and help 'man' the hotline as well as make media appearances.
Why the change? It’s Butterball’s way of modernizing and improving their service. The talk line has launched a smartphone app and Facebook live chats. The other reason is more men are calling the Butterball Hotline these days. When the talk line started, only about 9% of calls came from men where today 1 in 4 is from men.
