Former Boston Red Sox center fielder Fred Lynn will be in
Maine at Hadlock Field when the Portland Sea Dogs taken on the Reading Phillies. Red Sox Hall of famer Lynn will throw out the first pitch at 6pm, September 1st for Travelers Night at the Ballpark. Lynn’s first pitch will help raise money for the Good Shepard Food Bank, the largest hunger relief organization in Maine.

Fred Lynn was inducted into the Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame in 2002 and the College Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007. Lynn’s first pitch will generate money for Good Shepard as Travelers will donate $1000 to the food bank
and will double it to $2000 if the pitch is called a strike. The Portland Sea Dogs will hold a nonperishable food drive the same evening asking fans to bring food item for Maine families in need.

Lynn will be at the game until 8pm for the Travelers Photo Experience where fans will have the opportunity to have a photo taken with Lynn on their own personalized cover of the Portland Sea Dogs game program.
