Free Covid-19 Testing Site Set To Open In Auburn Next Week!
According to the Lewiston Sun Journal, a new Covid-19 testing center is coming to the Lewiston Auburn area next week. Starting Monday, January 31st, at the YMCA of Auburn-Lewiston's Outdoor Learning & Education Center at 151 Stetson Road in Auburn.
Guests looking for an appointment at the new rapid antigen testing site can show up, as this site does not require them. However, they are recommended. For the time being, hours of operation include Monday thru Thursday from 10 am to 2 pm.
This new testing center is only one of several recent locations, including new clinics in Windham and Biddeford, throughout the state as Maine pushes to increase testing and hopefully reduce the number of positive cases both in and out of hospitals.
At some point in mid-February, the Auburn location plans to expand to offer PCR testing on-site aside from the rapid antigen tests. PCR tests are often needed for international travel and
