According to a report General Motors indicated it is issuing recalls for more than 900,000 vehicles due to possible fire risks, and also brake software issues.

The first recall is for more than a half million 2019 light-duty Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Cadillac CT6 and GMC Sierra 1500's that may be subject to possible software issues with the brake system notifications. Dealers with start updating software beginning January 2020.

Also, battery cable issues that could cause a fire are behind GM recalling close to a half million 2019-2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 trucks.
