GM & Michelin Teaming Up To Make Airless, Flat Proof Tires
When it comes to tires nothing drives me more crazy than the constantly illuminated low tire pressure warning light. Not to mention changing a flat due to running over something in the road isn't fun either. So, I don't know about you but I am pretty excited about General Motors teaming up with Michelin to create flat-proof airless tires that may be able to be deployed in the not too distant future
A few of the benefits of the new tire:
- Car drivers feel safe and secure on the road since the dangers of flat tires and blowouts are eliminated.
- Fleet owners and professional vehicle drivers optimize their business productivity (no downtime from flats, near-zero levels of maintenance).
- Raw material is reduced, which in turn reduces waste.
