If you’re into winter there is good news for northern Mainer’s. Governor LePage has extended the ice fishing season.

While waters in the southern part of the state are open year round for ice fishing and open water fishing, northern Maine is not. With the emergency resolve by the Governor, anglers in northern Maine the same ice fishing opportunity as in the south.

A story at bangordailynews.com says the emergency law will extend ice fishing in the northern Maine through Sunday, April 16th.
