One Injured After Central Maine House Explodes on Thanksgiving
According to a press release from the Maine Department of Safety's Aaron Turcotte, one person was injured in a house explosion in Oakland, Maine.
In a series of emails from the Maine Department of Public Safety, we have learned that investigators with the Fire Marshal’s Office spent much of the afternoon at a home on Lakeview Drive in Oakland after the house reportedly suddenly exploded.
A man in his middle years was taken first to Thayer Hospital, then flown by Life Flight to Maine Medical Center in Portland. We do not yet know how badly he was hurt.
Officials say that is all the information they will be sharing tonight.
Our thoughts are with the victim and his family. We hope he makes a complete recovery.
