Augusta’s Final Waterfront Wednesday of the Summer Is Tomorrow
Tomorrow night is your final chance this summer to enjoy Waterfront Wednesday at Augusta’s Waterfront Park.
The 2026 concert series wraps up Wednesday, August 5, with a free Block Party featuring DJ Matt James from 6 to 8 p.m. along the Kennebec River. I’ll be there playing the music and helping close out another great summer of live entertainment in downtown Augusta.
The event is free to attend, so bring the whole family, grab a chair or blanket, and settle in for two hours of music, games and summer fun. Augusta Parks and Recreation will have information, activities and family games on site, and it is also Bounce House Night for the kids.
Sojourn Ice will be there serving up cold treats and food for purchase. Admission and the activities are free, but you will need to pay for anything you buy from the food truck.
There will also be a giveaway for a $45 Augusta Recreation program gift certificate, giving one family a chance to put it toward a future Parks and Recreation activity.
Waterfront Wednesday has brought music, local food, giveaways and community fun to Augusta’s riverfront throughout the summer, and tomorrow night is the final event of the 2026 season.
Come spend the evening with us at Waterfront Park on Front Street in Augusta. The Block Party with DJ Matt James runs from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 5. Bring the family, enjoy the music and help us send off Waterfront Wednesday in style.
