A New Ellsworth, Maine Ice Cream Shop Set For Grand Opening

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!

One thing that a long winter proves is that we are all ready for warmer weather, which means tasty treats like ice cream will be on the menu.

The Sweet Spot Coffee & Candy Shop, located at 61 & 63 Main Street in Ellsworth, is expanding to open a mini ice cream parlor, with a Grand Opening celebration to take place on Saturday, MArch 22nd, from 11am-4pm

Starting out as just a coffee shop, the owner added a candy store to the mix, in June of 2024, now the ice cream in the next step in the evolution of the business.

The Sweet Spot will scoop out hard serve and Thai-inspired rolled ice cream, 7 days a week.

The grand opening will feature a dozen made in Maine premium ice cream flavors, in addition to the rolled ice cream.

You can choose your own adventure with hand made rolled ice cream. There are 3 different ice cream base options to choose from: dairy, lactose free and vegan coconut milk.

Plus, you get to choose from a large variety of mix-ins to make it uniquely yours.

On March 22nd, they will also host a "Stuff Your Stanley" event. Bring your CLEAN 30-40 oz mug, and they will fill it with ice cream for one low price.

The Sweet Spot also features a coffee shop and candy store. Pastries, sandwiches, a huge drink menu, including boba tea, lotus energy & smoothies.

The candy store contains over 1,000 varieties of candy.
