Days after a gunman fired shots at a Lewiston bowling alley and restaurant, shots were fired near a multi-unit building two blocks from where a vigil was held to remember the 18 victims.

Lewiston police said the shots were fired around 9:45 p.m. near the four-story building on Walnut Street. Several cars and the building were struck by gunfire. "Numerous" shell casings were found on the ground by investigators, according to police.

No individuals were struck by bullets and no arrests have been made.

Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact at Lewiston Police 513-3001.

The shooting took place two streets over from the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, where over 1,000 people gathered for the One Lewiston Community Vigil several hours before.
