Kristi Marie Is Officially The Mom Of A High School Freshman

I can't even believe it... I am the momma of a High School student, and I have zero clues where the last 14 years went, but I'm so glad I got to spend them watching B blossom.

Last night, I enjoyed watching my sweet, intelligent, inspirational, funny, loving, compassionate, beautiful, friendly, honest, forgiving, and thoughtful daughter B walk across the stage at the Augusta Civic Center as she graduated from the 8th grade.

Nothing about the past 2 school years has been traditional, and it surely hasn't been the easiest few years for our children. Somehow, though, My girl B and most other children I know found the silver lining in a not-so-shiny situation. This group of kids surely learned how to take lemons and make lemonade.

I love you, B! You make me the proudest momma in the whole world. I can't wait to see where the adventure of life takes you!

From 1930 to 2006, the Old Cony High School provided a high school education to the teenagers of Augusta, Maine. Now, it serves as senior housing. Thanks to a resident of the building, we can take a look at it.
