Kristi Marie Went To Disney & Got A Not So Magical Souvenir
Have you ever taken a vacation only to need a vacation from your said vacation?
Well, I didn't think I would be the person that would need to recover from a vacation. But such as this life we live, things don't always go as we hoped, dreamed, prayed, or expected it would.
What was expected to be a lifelong dream of mine to take my kids to Disney and Universal Studios with close family members turned into cold weather, messed up tickets, hours in lines before even entering the parks, and bringing home an unfriendly souvenir.
Yep, as you probably guessed, the unkind souvenir my whole family caught while on vacation... Covid.
We should have known it would be a tough week when the first leg of our trip started as we drove to Boston in a snowstorm; an average 3-hour journey took us five and a half hours. No worries, though; we didn't let any minor issues ruin our vacation.
Finding the silver lining in all situations is how I try to live my life, and that's exactly what we did; we enjoyed everything we could, from the theme parks to Disney Springs. Even some fantastic site seeing until we landed back in Maine and started popping positives one by one.
Thankfully we are all on the mend after recovering for more than a week, and I've got to say it's nice to be back.
