Kristi's Open Apology To Those She Passes On Her Way To Work

Dear unsuspecting driver,

I'm just going to start by saying I'm SO sorry and hope you are kind enough to forgive me. I'll add that it's not you; it's me. Well, it really isn't me either, but it is my car, so I'm going to take full responsibility and apologize anyways.

I start my morning super early, earlier than most. Each morning on my way to work, I pass you and a few others that seem to have roughly the same schedule. This schedule has been the same for at least the last 12 months, and before a little over a month ago, there was never an issue.

Like I said earlier, It's not you or me; it's my car, Fancy.

Yep, she has a name, and she is super smart. Some days I think she may be too smart for her own good, mine, and yours too. You see, I think she may have a mind of her own, which some would call sensors, and these sensors don't always work in the way they are supposed to.

For instance, Fancy has automatic headlights with an automatic high beam feature that will flick my high beams off and on as soon as it either detects oncoming light or darkness. Sadly she's a little unsure when the high beams feature should actually be used, and she likes to randomly high beam oncoming traffic.

So if you notice a white Subaru Crosstrek high beaming you at the wee hours of the morning, know that I truly am sorry. I promise we are working on it!
