According to an article from News Center Maine, Howe and Howe Technologies, located in Waterboro, has made history with their newest invention: A FIREFIGHTING ROBOT!

Howe and Howe Technologies isn't new to inventing and creating. Together the Howe brothers, Mike and Geoff, have built some of the U.S. military's most valued vehicles.

Fun fact: they've also created some of the vehicles you see in some of Hollywood's biggest movies.

Their newest invention, though, is one for the books.  Specifically, history books! Actually, that's exactly what they did. Howe and Howe made history by building a firefighting robot and not just one; they built two models.

The RS1 and RS3 robots are remote controlled and have the ability to disburse 2500 gallons of water per minute.

Just last week, an RS3 firefighting robot helped the Los Angeles fire department extinguish a 5-alarm fire.

Michael Howe quipped, "It literally went into battle before they had the packing tape off."

Sit and think for a minute about all the forest and house fires that this one piece of history will help our amazing firemen and firewomen fight.
