Maine Gas Prices Sharply Lower This Week

Maine gas prices have been getting lower over the past few weeks and this week the drop in prices accelerated, Maine gas prices dropped 5.2 cents per gallon over the past week. According to the price-monitoring website gasbuddy.com, the average gallon of gas in Maine is now at $3.56 a gallon.

The national average dropped 1.7 cents this past week for an average of $3.47 a gallon.

The lowest reported gas prices in Maine were found in Dayton and Bangor at $3.39 a gallon.

Gas prices in Maine, at this time last year, averaged $3.71 a gallon.

Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan expects gas prices to drop even more significantly in late September and through the holidays!
