According to a press release form the Maine Department of Public Safety's Shannon Moss, one man is dead and another is injured following a Tuesday evening altercation in Standish, Maine.
The press release explains that deputies were called to a home on Kennie Drive in Standish Tuesday night after reports of a fight. When they arrived, at around 9:30, they found one adult man dead inside the residence.

Even though we occasionally hear about incidents like this, it is important to remember that Maine is consistently ranked as one of the safest states in the country, and it shows in everyday life. Violent crime rates here remain well below the national average, and most communities still have that close-knit, look-out-for-your-neighbor feel. It is one of the many reasons why Maine is still a great place to raise a family.
