MS Harborfest coming This Weekend (8-18 to 20)

The three day festival called MS Harborfest is taking place this weekend.

The MS Regatta was founded in 1982 and is a festival of tugboats, sailboats and lobster boats all under the banner of MS Harborfest. Since the first race 36 years ago they have raised more than $36 million to help the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

The three day festival runs August 18-20 and is held at the Portland waterfront. According to nationmssociety.org the MS Harborfest Benefit Auction will take place Friday night along with the skipper and sponsor meeting. Saturday is the MS Regatta at Portland Harbor & Fore River in Portland. Sunday is the MS Lobster Boat Race at Portland Yacht Services on Front St, in Portland followed by the MS Tugboat Muster & Races.
