Multiple Women Possibly Drugged During Event At Southern Maine Pub
On the heels of a viral Facebook post about a woman who reported "[After having been given a drink] It felt like I had ants crawling in my bones and in my teeth. I had no ability to stand up or speak...I was incredibly sick the rest of the night and it was a torturous feeling knowing that I wasn’t just “drunk”.......something was very different. I truly believe I was drugged." after visiting Bubba's Sulky Lounge in Portland, at least five women who attended an event at Run of the Mill Public House and Brewery in Saco have reported that they believe they were drugged, according to the Portland Press Herald.
The women are reporting that they either blacked out or became violently ill, according to the bar's manager.
Jill Lachance, one of the victims who was a patron of Run of the Mill that night, took to Facebook with her story noting "10 hours of my life have been robbed from me..because I don’t remember any of it..because we are fairly confident that I was drugged."
The bar is taking the issue very seriously and the police are investigating.
No one has been charged in the incident, yet. Three of the victims did report that there was a woman who appeared "out of place" in attendance that night. One victim reported that she received a drink drirectly from the suspicious woman.
