Plane Pull To Benefit Mid Maine Charity Scheduled For Saturday

In recent years, we have seen plane pulls become really popular fundraising events.  The Travis Mills Foundation, for example, has held at least one such event in recent years.

If you are going to be in the Bangor area on Saturday (September 10th), you'll have a chance to see one in person.

According to News Center Maine, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mid-Maine will be hosting a plane pull event at the C&L Aviation hanger at Bangor International Airport.

While we have seen several versions of the mechanics of this fundraiser, in this particular event the goal is to see which team can pull a plane twenty feet in the shortest amount of time.

According to the program manager of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mid-Maine:

We match adults in the community over 18 with littles anywhere from age 5 to age 16 who are facing some kind of adversity in their lives and who need a positive adult role model.  They meet together once a week for a couple of hours and just provide that positive influence and that steady role model in that child’s life.

The event is scheduled to start at 10 AM on Saturday and we are hearing there is still time to register a team.  You can get all of the details HERE
