Last week we ran a story regarding the recall of fresh pizza dough that only affected the Saco Hannaford. This issue has now grown to a chain-wide recall of all cheese and fresh dough produced by Portland Pie Company.

According to WABI TV 5, the products are being recalled because of more 'malicious product tampering' which appears to involve someone inserting metal objects into Portland Pie products. Officials indicate that the expansion of the recall to include all Hannaford Supermarkets is out of an abundance of caution.

If you have already purchased said products and aren't sure what to do, you can return with your items to Hannaford and you will be issued a full refund. As of this morning, there have been no injuries reported in regards to the suspected tampering of the products. Saco police have been working with Hannaford Supermarkets to determine who has been tampering with the Portland Pie items.
