Police Identify & Arrest Suspect in Killing of Central Maine Man
Police have arrested the man they believe responsible for the September killing of a man from Glenburn.
According to a press release from the Maine Department of Public Safety's Shannon Moss, on the night of Sunday, September 21st, the Maine State Police got several 911 calls about gunshots near 272 Main Street in Corinth.
When Troopers arrived, they found a wounded man outside the home. He was identified as thirty two year old Michael McGregor of Skowhegan. Troopers immediately started life saving care, and McGregor was flown by LifeFlight to a local hospital where he was treated for his gunshot injuries.
Troopers then went into a nearby apartment where they found a man who had died. Detectives from Major Crimes Unit North and the Evidence Response Team spent hours working through the scene to figure out exactly what happened.
The man who died was taken to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta. An autopsy on Monday, September 22 of 2025 identified him as forty six year old Scott Roberts of Glenburn. The medical examiner confirmed he died from a gunshot wound and ruled the case a homicide.
