After nearly a week, the search continues for two men who fled from a Wednesday (November 9th) traffic stop.

According to the KJ, the incident started on Wednesday when a Maine State Trooper pulled over a vehicle on I-95 near Clinton.  Upon running a check on the identity of the occupant, it was discovered that 45 year old Brian Strout was wanted on drug charges.

During the stop, Strout reportedly fled into the woods.  A search for him was started.  The search, which went on for several hours, was discontinued at dark.

Maine State Police Troopers were later made aware that Strout was at a residence on Horseback Road in Clinton.  Before they were able to get there, Strout left the residence in a Chevy Trailblazer.  He was reportedly accompanied by a man identified as 29-year-old Collin Hellmuth.  It also now appears that Hellmuth's wife was with the men.

The troopers started a pursuit of the SUV, but lost it on Wright Road.  A short time later, law enforcement spotted Strout and Hellmuth running across a field.  Hellmuth's 32 year old wife reportedly stayed with the vehicle.  She was later treated for a head wound.

A canine unit was brought in and an extensive search was done of the area.  However, the search did not locate the men.
