When it comes to the important things in life, having resolve, knowing what to hold on to, it all really starts to take a toll on you. You know what I'm talking about, those things that seep into your mind and borrow space there until you just can't take it anymore. The not knowing, the unrest of contemplative drama, it eats away at you. I'm talking about Southwest Airlines Free Drink Coupons. I know to some it may seem frivolous but hey ever since Southwest started putting expiration dates on the coupons, it has weighed heavy with me. I don't want those tickets to expire, I just can't have it. Those coupons are not easy to come by, some people even beg for them. Sad, but true.

Thankfully Southwest Airlines was reading my mind, or maybe just social media complaints that echo my sentiments, either way, they have made a public statement on the matter and we are getting an extention. Per Southwest Airlines community page;

"On March 25, we temporarily discontinued our inflight beverage and snack service in an effort to minimize physical touchpoints amidst growing concerns around COVID-19. This temporary suspension of service aligned with our other efforts to support the health and Safety of our Customer and Employees alike.

We heard from many of you across social media and other channels concerning the status of your soon-to-expire Rapid Rewards™ drink coupons. Once service resumes, any drink coupons set to expire throughout 2020 will now expire December 31, 2020.

You don’t need to do anything for these changes to go into effect. Please keep your original coupon to present onboard once inflight beverage service resumes. We look forward to welcoming you onboard soon, cheers!"

Ahhhh, there is justice in the world once again. Except that means I'll need to travel by the end of the year. Whatever it takes, whatever I need to do to ensure I get the perk I'm entitled to!

Happy Travels.
