Three swimmers were inducted into the Maine Swimming Hall of Fame this past Sunday.
Gina Mancini, Emily Caras Snyder, and Jason Thomas are the latest memebers of the Hall.
Mancini swam at Falmouth High School where she was a three-time NISCA All-American...
She did again, broke another record, this time swimming the English Channel. From Westbrook, Maine, Pat Gallant-Charette, said an opening came to swim the channel so she decided to do it.
It doesn’t say in this story if this dog had a lifejacket on but I sure hope so. If you are on a boat with a pet they do make lifejackets for them. This story does have a happy ending either way. (the picture is not Rylee but and example of a Belgian Malinois)

Memorial Day is one week away and Maine has 36 state parks and 1 national park for us to enjoy this summer. If you are like me, you tend to go to the same state parks year after year. Here's a handy guide of the state parks in Maine. Maybe this year you can explore a new state park.
In Bethel, Alaska, they were ready to celebrate their new community center’s indoor swimming pool. Unfortunately it is still closed and the grand opening has been postponed. It remains closed because of problem with the sprinkler system.
Have you seen the video?
Had I been the person videotaping the encounter, I would have been in awe.
I know they were! Can you imagine THIS happening to YOU?
For the first time in history, a swimmer has endured the 103-mile route from Havana, Cuba to Key West, Florida, without the assistance of a shark cage. That swimmer, 64-year-old Diana Nyad, began her quest on Saturday, August 31, and finished around 53 hours later on Labor Day.
Ahh, summer. 'Tis the season of watermelon art, diving fails and-- you guessed it-- belly flops. When we were kids, this pool move was awesome. But nowadays... who are we kidding? It's still (painfully) awesome!
Happy Birthday America! Many of us will enjoy time with our families and take in a fireworks display, a parade and maybe a trip to the beach. With the 4th of July being on a Thursday, many people will get a long 4-day weekend. So, what are you going to be doing?
Are you ready for another Harlem Shake video? We hope so because the world is going bananas for these videos and they appear to keep on coming. And while they've all held some sort of fun factor, this one might be our favorite.
