Laura Benedict and her fantastic team at The Red Barn in Augusta are at it again. This time they are hosting a benefit to help local hero Adam Zibura of Windsor. Sadly Adam is currently battling a rare type of cancer and requires a bone marrow donor.

The event will happen at The Red Barn's newest location on State Street in Augusta from 3 to 7 pm on Tuesday, December 28th. According to a Facebook post made by The Red Barn, they expect to be busy. Customers looking to place an order during the benefit are highly encouraged to do so via Online Ordering.

Sadly, besides being diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), a blood and bone marrow cancer, Adam also suffers from an extremely rare genetic condition.

Adam, a longtime volunteer firefighter for Windsor, also works full-time as an emergency dispatcher for State of Maine Public Safety. When peers talk about Adam, they'll tell you that he gives his all to everyone he encounters, whether he sees them on the clock or off.

At this time, Adam is still in need of a donor. It's a long shot one in a million, but maybe, you could be his match? Unable to attend the event but still want to donate? There is a GoFundMe set up where you can make direct donations.
