According to a Facebook post made by Union Fair / The Maine Wild Blueberry Festival, the long-running fair is making some major changes to its 2022 fair season. Union Fair, also known as The Maine Wild Blueberry Festival, will no longer be held in late August.

Starting in 2022, Union Fair/The Maine Wild Blueberry Festival will happen July 27th thru July 31st, meaning it's going to be earlier in the year and offer fewer days. This change also brings changes to Union Fair's harness racing program which will start Sunday, July 24th, and end Thursday, July 28th.

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the fair was unable to offer a carnival last year, however, at this time the fair fully plans to bring back a full carnival for 2022. Union Fair is also planning on bringing back some of their bigger in-field events like mud runs, lawnmower races and truck pulls.
