Background to this story: My mom has a landline phone...which seems to be an 'oddity' for kids nowadays. Mom hasn't given the phone number to anyone...I didn't even know it. But yet, companies and organizations call the number looking for someone. So, mom has allowed my 6-year-old Chloe to answer the phone and 'handle' whoever is on the other end.

Sometimes, we need a life changing event to happen to us before we get that wake-up call. Last week, during our 'Tanks'Giving Food Drive, I witnessed greatness from all Central Maine communities. It truly was touching. I also witnessed one...just one incident...that deeply saddened me and I can't seem to shake it. I have had 5 days to process this event and my emotions have changed slightly to

It's easy to have a love hate relationship with Fall. Recently, I did a story about why I dislike this season. It's easy to complain about something...it's often the path of least resistance. Many reasons I frown on Fall include: Holidays, buying oil, kids bringing cooties home from school, everyone wearing blaze orange & pumpkin EVERYTHING. ...
