The Portland Sea Dogs had a great season in 2014. They recorded an all-time best 88-54 team record. They also produced many players who ended up the season with the Boston Red Sox.

One of my favorites things to do is to soak up the sunshine at a baseball game and one of the best places to watch a baseball game is Hadlock Field in Portland. Well, I guess there are many who agree with me as Portland was named the 'Best Minor League Baseball Town.'

The Portland Sea Dogs set a record with the 88 wins during the regular season this year. The winning team helped add fans in the stands this season after the Sea Dogs had seen dropping attendance over the past few years.

Let the playoffs begin for the Portland Sea Dogs...and how about some help from newly acquired outfielder Rusney Castillo. Sox management will have him join the Dogs when their playoff series starts Wednesday.

Even as die-hard Red Sox fans we know it's just about time to throw the hands up on 2014. Everything that went right with the World Series Championship season last year has gone wrong this season. One of the biggest mistakes was signing catcher A.J. Pierzynski. He just didn't work out...and now he's gone.

If you have ever brought the family to Hadlock Field in Portland in the summer to catch a Sea Dogs game, you know that kids of all ages love 'Slugger'. He is the beloved mascot of the Portland Sea Dogs, and now not only is Slugger entertaining baseball fans he's starting a journey for a good cause.

Maine Fans of the Boston Red Sox will want to make their way to Hadlock Field this week. Red Sox outfielder, Shane Victorino is reported to play a rehab game this Tuesday with the Portland Sea Dogs.

There is something special about the new baseball season. The Portland Sea Dogs are playing their first game at Hadlock Field in Portland this evening at 6 against the New Britain Rock Cats.

For the majority of Major League Baseball, the season starts today. Fans of teams all over the country have hop that this will be the year. Our team, Boston, was proof of that last season, after a disastrous 2012 season they won it all last year.

Skylar Laine, a top five finalist on season 11 on American Idol, will be singing the National Anthem at Tuesday night's Portland Sea Dogs game at Hadlock Field. The Sea Dogs will be taking on the Reading Fightin Phils at 6 p.m.
