The Mansard-style building, which dates back to the 1850s, kind of sticks out. And, considering the number of historic buildings in the town, that is saying something.

According to Realtor, the mansion is in the process of being converted into a quartet of condos.

Not surprisingly, the mansion has ties to the history of Maine. According to the Library of Congress website, one of the notable owners of the mansion (and its namesake) was Maine governor Joseph R. Bodwell. Governor Bodwell was also the president of Hallowell Granite Works.
As of July 2022, the list price for the property is $349,000. Assuming you put down $84,000 at closing, your monthly payment would be about $2,100.
