The National Science Foundation’s long-running Visualization Challenge, more often referred to as The 'Vizzies',  honors illustrations of scientific principles and advancements so as to make them accessible to larger audiences.

In the video category, Maine’s own O’Chang Comics is among those in the running, thanks to its work explaining the effects of climate change on Maine and its waters.

Voting for the People’s Choice Vizzie awards can be done online by clicking here. Winners in each category will get $500 and be featured in the March edition of Popular Science magazine.

O’Chang is best known in Maine for producing the cartoon adventures of Green Bud Kelly and his hipster tag-along Atom, poking fun at Maine stereotypes.
